ALBANY NY - Out of dozens applications & five finalists, Marylin was crowned Mother of the Year at the 21st Annual Tulip Festival. Marylin was nominated by her friend Dwight Williams. Nominees are judged by their commitment to their familes, as well as their commitment to doing a variety of work in their respective communities.

 

Marylin is a single mother of four college educated children. She is also the President of Flora E. Kippins Foundation, Inc. She founded this Foundation in honor and memory of her mother who herself was a philanthropist.

 

As a reminder this foundation provides services in Upstate NY, Ghana & Guyana. Currently the Foundation is planning to build a much needed health clinic in Anamobo, Ghana.
